Different types of water filtration plants that are used in the water industry will be discussed in depth as well as proper operations of those filters focusing specifically on the math required to run Conventional and Direct Water Filtration plants. The math required to install, bring into service, and operate the Distribution systems served by these Water Filtration Plants will also be discussed.

Water & Wastewater Emergency Response Planning

Description:In this course water and wastewater personnel will see what it takes to get through a real-life emergency. It will cover the steps necessary to take during and after an emergency with the utility and will cover what steps to take before an emergency to ensure the actions taken during the events are as smooth as possible. Who to contact, what is our critical equipment, and how do we communicate during the emergency? How do we debrief and clean up after the emergency and what do we take away to improve the next potential situation at the utility?
