Salary: $71,244 – $95,484

Public Works & Development Services Coordinator

The City of Brookings is seeking a skilled and motivated planning professional to join our cohesive and collaborative team. This position plays a central role in the City’s development review process. The successful candidate will manage land use applications, prepare staff reports and findings, interpret the Land Development Code and Comprehensive Plan, and present recommendations to the Planning Commission and City Council.

In addition to core planning duties, this role assists with contract coordination, research, grant support, and cross-departmental initiatives. A large residential development may be on the horizon, making this an exciting time to help shape the community’s future.

 

Minimum Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field; or equivalent combination of education and professional  experience
  • Minimum two (3) years of related professional experience
  • Experience preparing staff reports and presenting to public bodies
