Seasonal Temporary Summer/Fall – Water Distribution & Treatment

Pay Rate: $23.00 – $26.00 – DOQ

Check out job opportunities at Clackamas River Water! We are seeking individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in the water industry – specifically in water distribution and treatment – to join our skilled team for two full-time, temporary assignments for 4 to 6 months.

Water Distribution – STARTS Monday, June 16, 2025
This position is responsible for assisting our field crew in the repair and maintenance of the District’s water distribution system.

Water Treatment – STARTS Monday, May 5th, 2025
The Seasonal Water Treatment position will assist our Water Resources team to learn and perform a variety of functions that pertain to the operation of our 30 MGD water treatment plant.

Minimum Requirements:

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Valid Oregon driver license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability to perform daily, repetitive and very demanding physical tasks, lift up to 50 lbs. and also in adverse weather conditions
  • Manual dexterity and strength to use a variety of hand tools and equipment
  • Preference for applicants enrolled in a water treatment or water distribution degree program

 Special Requirements for Distribution Worker

  • Ability to recognize and respond to various hazards while working near the roadway
  • Ability to drive large pickups with occasional limited visibility and towing
  • Preference for experience in underground utility construction or heavy equipment operation, flagger card and competent person training.
