Associate Engineer

Clackamas River Water

Salary Range:  $80,478 – $105,904 – DOE,  Exempt, Represented

Clackamas River Water seeks a full-time Associate Engineer. This entry-level position provides engineering support for the planning, design and construction of the District’s public water supply, infrastructure projects and related systems and is designed to gain hands-on experience and support while working toward a professional license in civil engineering.

Minimum Qualifications
To qualify, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field, an Engineering-Intern (EI) certification or ability to obtain within one year, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this job. Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record. Ability and skill to perform engineering calculations, analysis and modeling; read and interpret drawings, technical documents, and plans and specifications. Skilled at adapting to evolving engineering practices and technology, utilizing analytical and critical-thinking and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication, consistent demonstration of organizational and time management, and motivated to learn and take on new challenges toward obtaining professional license.

PREFERRED: Experience in water infrastructure or public works projects with hands-on experience in design, project management, bid specifications and contract administration. Experience with design, analysis and project management software tools.
