Salary range: $ 85,810.68 – 116,096.80 (DOE – exempt, non-represented)

Clackamas River Water (CRW) is seeking a full-time Water Treatment Plant Supervisor to operate a 30MGD plan that provides high-quality drinking water to nearly 13,000 retail and commercial customers that serve a population of approximately 50,000, in addition to providing wholesale water to neighboring water systems.
Essential Duties:
The Water Treatment Plant Supervisor assists the Water Resources Manager in overseeing public drinking water production including operation, maintenance and repair of the treatment facilities, intakes, storage reservoirs, pumping facilities, and SCADA system. Provides supervision over six (6) staff assigned to these operations and ensures compliance with all federal and state drinking water requirements is achieved and properly reported to regulatory agencies.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in biology, environmental science, or closely related field and a minimum of three (3) years of progressive experience in water systems operations that includes supervisory responsibilities or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess Oregon Health Authority Water Treatment Operator Level II Certification with the ability to achieve a Level III certification or higher in order to provide Direct Responsible Charge (DRC) duties when required. Experience in a public sector environment, additional operational experience and a Water Treatment Operator Level IV is preferred.
- Ability to successfully supervise and guide a team of water treatment operators.
- Strong interpersonal, team building and verbal/written communication and planning skills.
- Demonstrated application of federal and state regulations for public drinking water systems.
- This is a safety-sensitive position: you must be able to meet physical standards including wearing respiratory protection equipment based on passing a specialized physical exam prior to hire date and maintain respirator certification. A valid driver’s license is also required.
