The Role:

Manage day-to-day operations in areas designated by Operations Sr. Manager. Manage operations team(s) and coordinate completion of work daily.

Day to Day:

  • Schedule and oversee daily work by field operators and technicians to fulfill the operational drinking water requirements and task orders
  • Develop and manage operations team, develop staff to effectively provide services, to complete training, and to gain certifications in accordance with company policy.
  • Ensure compliance sampling requirements are met
  • Ensure all operating manuals are up to date, including but not limited to O&M manuals, Emergency Response Plans, and site sampling plans.
  • Ensure all compliance violations are properly communicated and resolved.
  • Dispatch and monitor after hours emergency responses. Coordinate staff, equipment, and other resources to address all emergencies as expediently as possible.
  • Support the management of client communications.
  • Maintain current knowledge and understanding in order to ensure strict compliance with all federal and state rules and regulations.
  • Conduct scheduled employee staffing performance evaluations within Company guidelines.
  • Comply with all Company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Comply with Company grooming and uniform policy.
  • Complete tasks as requested by the Oregon Operations Sr. Manager.

Come on your first day with:

  • Two to five years of experience covering all aspects of utility operation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of laws and regulations that apply to various governing agencies.
  • Thorough knowledge of water system operations, as applicable.
  • Valid Oregon driver’s license.
  • Hold Water Distribution 1 or Water Treatment Plant Operator 1 certification. Preference for level 2 certification or higher.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The working environment will be primarily indoor conditions and some outdoor conditions depending on the specific supervisory role and need. This position requires decision and leadership ability, at times in emergency situations. Safety procedures must always be followed. Employees may be exposed to hazardous materials, confined space, electrical components, and heavy equipment such as backhoes, dump trucks and sewer flushing vehicles. Employees must be in a physical condition that will allow personnel access into typical industrial processing plant facilities and equipment.

Base salary range: $69,713.00 – $105,963.00 per year, depending on qualifications
