Clackamas River Water
Seeking a full-time mid-level Accountant responsible for performing professional finance and accounting work that includes preparation, analysis, and reconciliation of financial transactions, statements, the District budget, year-end audits, grant accounting, and other financial records and reports. Analyzes, interprets and troubleshoots a varying degree of complex finance and accounting transactions to resolve issues and ensure compliance with government standards, regulations and fiscal policy and procedure. Assists with the evaluation of revenue and expenditure forecasts, financial model updates, cost allocation plans, cash and fund balancing and other financial information and reporting.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or other related field, and (3) three years’ experience in a position with similar responsibilities, or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities required for the position. Proven ability to apply principles and practices of government finance, such as Oregon Budget Law, enterprise/fund accounting, municipal budgeting and auditing using GASB and GAAP. Proven aptitude for using accounting and/or financial software applications and related financial systems. Ability to organize and manage multiple projects and prioritize workload to meet deadlines. Strong MS Excel and similar technology skills to perform duties.
Strong preference for government experience in a similar environment. Possession of a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record are required for bank deposits.
Salary range: $31.91 – $41.19 – DOE, represented, non-exempt
