Description: This class will cover the understanding of basic math concepts and formulas for water and wastewater operators including areas, volume, conversions, pounds, formulas, velocity, flow, head and hydraulics and more for system operators. Please bring your calculators and system questions.

Preparing for a Water System Survey & Wastewater System Inspection 1:00 pm – 4:15 pm

Cost: $90 for Members / $110 for Non-Members
Description: Discuss the process and elements of a water system survey and wastewater inspections, identifying those common deficiencies discovered in past reviews. Using experience and evaluation criteria to look at your water and wastewater systems to stay in compliance. Review the process of daily operations and design deficiencies to establish goals and practices to maintain compliance in your Water and Wastewater Systems.

Description: This two-day course will provide specific information needed to help prepare for the Wastewater Treatment and/or Wastewater Collections certification exams. A practice exam with answers will be provided to each attendee. Review will include pretreatment, basic math, trickling filters, RBC, basic activated sludge, lagoons, wastewater disinfection, sludge digestion, solids handling and lab procedures. BRING A CALCULATOR.

Description: Learn equipment installation, operations and maintenance, testing, disinfecting facilities, excavation safety and confined space, water sampling and lab, chemical safety, wells, tanks, and water treatment basics.
