The City of Sutherlin has a job opening for a Treatment Plant Relief/Maintenance Operator – Salary ranges from $48,144 to $61,428 annually and is a non-exempt status position. This position involves the responsibility for maintaining equipment of the Public Works Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants, system pump and lift stations and reservoirs. The position includes the responsibility of performing required tasks in maintenance and plant operations, keeping and maintaining accurate records, and related activities and works under the direct supervision of the Water or Wastewater Sub-Divisional Supervisor(s).
Necessary special requirements include the possession of, or ability to obtain, valid Oregon Class A Commercial Driver’s License with endorsements for Air Brakes within 1 year. Required to live within a 30 minutes response time of the city limits of Sutherlin. Must be willing to work a workweek which includes one day of the weekend such as Sunday through Thursday, or Tuesday through Saturday. Minimum qualifications for this classification include, or able to obtain within 1 year, an Oregon Certification Grade Level I and basic components of water treatment and distribution systems, and wastewater treatment and collection systems.
