Public Works Utility Worker I

$56,808-$69,115 Plus Benefits and City Paid PERS
Ability to earn 4% Incentive Pay for Fiscal Year 25-26

Position Open Until Filled

The City of Molalla is seeking a full-time, union represented, entry level Utility Worker I that performs a wide variety of duties in the Public Works Department. Under the supervision of the Public Works Maintenance Section Superintendent, performs maintenance, repair, and construction of the City of Molalla’s full-service water and wastewater facilities and distribution systems, stormwater system, transportation system, parks system, and public buildings. Training and direction provided by Utility Worker II and Utility Worker III’s.

REQUIRED

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Oregon commercial driver’s license with tanker endorsement; or ability to obtain within six months of employment.

PREFERRED

  • Experience with hand tools and other power tools.

The successful candidate will exhibit a professional attitude, demonstrate the ability to take direction from a superior, enjoy working with the public and take pride in their work.
