Public Works Utility 1 Worker

City of Banks

40 hours per week

Salary/Pay Rate:
• Utility Worker I: $17.70 – $23.95 per hour, plus benefits (which equal an additional $7.39-$8.28) per hour.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Public Works Utility I Worker serves as a member the City’s Public Works crew and performs a wide variety of jobs involving heavy equipment operation and maintenance for the city’s Water, Parks, and Street & Roads Departments. The Utility I Worker also responds to emergencies and helps respond to complaints, questions, or other matters.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
• Completion of high school (diploma or G.E.D.), or its equivalent.
• Any certification in Water Distribution or Treatment, Parks, or Streets is preferred.
