The City of Hood River, Oregon has a surplus quantity of 975 Sensus ¾”S Accustream residential water meters. https://sensus.com/products/accustream/
These Meters are the “short ¾”S” meters designed for compact installation and are not to be confused with the more common 5/8”x3/4” AccuStreams. http://pacificpipeline.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/Accustream-Water-Meter.pdf The Meters were manufactured in May, 2015 and have a usable battery service life until May, 2035. There is also a current manufacturer’s warranty that Ferguson (our wholesaler) has indicated will be honored until May of 2025. Meters are currently priced at $85.00 each and do not include an MXU (radio antennae service pack). New wholesale price of these meters is currently set at $132.00 with companies such as Ferguson as of 3/7/2018. Price has been adjusted accordingly to compensate for devaluation, shortened lifespan, and as-is sale condition.
These Meters are an excellent choice for any municipality with existing AccuStream meters in their inventor or who are seeking to install new meters in an aging infrastructure. The City has been looking for a good opportunity to sell the meters in a manner that benefit the buyer, as well as insulates the City from any further financial loss.
Simply put, the City over bought on quantity, and needs to liquidate a surplus that we will not be able to be put into service inside its usable lifespan.
The City is willing to sell the Meters in the following configurations:
Bulk Mass sale 975 meters: $78 x975=$76,065.00
Groups of 100 meters: $85×100=$8,500.00
Or any appropriate remaining quantities negotiated with an authorized sales rep from the City of Hood River. Sales Representatives are:
