Facilities and Utilities Management provides qualified people with opportunities of variety and challenge. As manager, you would manage the maintenance of a historical building built in 1888, health clinics with doctor’s offices, a joint law enforcement building housing the City and the County, a fairgrounds with an arena, RV hookups, and animal stalls as well as various general office buildings. You will interact with a number of types of employees and elected officials and numerous visitors and customers with rural and urban personalities all with the welcoming environment of Oregon. By supervising the billing and maintenance of more than 5 utility systems with a combination of sewer and water hookups, you will be able to provide over 200 residents with quality services within our rural areas. Plans, directs, and supervises the operations, maintenance, repair, renovation, and construction of County owned and leased buildings as well as all the County Service Districts’ water and sewer systems; prepares and implements maintenance management programs, develops plans for capital improvement, major maintenance, and service operations; administers contracts; prepares and manages budgets. Supervise maintenance and custodial personnel, directs and monitors professional service, maintenance, and Capital project contracts. This position manages two separate work Programs; the Facilities and Utilities Division, however critical functions of both jobs are similar.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a field related to area of assignment;
- 7 years of progressively responsible professional experience in area of assignment, including 3 years of managerial or supervisor experience.
An equivalent combination of education and experience maybe accepted. There is no substitution or equivalency for the required supervisory experience.
